Accelerating the green transition of an agricultural co-operative

As part of the Neocoop programme, led by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and aimed at agricultural co-operatives, Transitions supported Maïsadour across six key areas: reducing the use of synthetic pesticides, preserving biodiversity, mitigating and adapting to climate change, animal welfare, and sustainable food production.

An initial assessment of the cooperative’s agricultural practices provided the basis for a diagnosis, followed by the development of an agroecological transition strategy and an accompanying action plan, with support from Transitions for its implementation.

Aligned with the cooperative’s ambitions and current and future regulatory requirements, the initiative places the agroecological transition at the heart of Maïsadour’s practices and those of its members.
