Resilience & Adaptation

Anticipating climate challenges, reducing your environmental footprint and exposure to climate risks, protecting ecosystems.

Strengthening the long-term resilience of your activities

Climate change and biodiversity loss directly affect the performance and continuity of your activities. Extreme weather events are intensifying (heatwaves, droughts, floods and wildfires), while ecosystem degradation is undermining essential ecosystem services (water supply, soil health, pollination, flood protection and coastal stability).

To anticipate and reduce these risks, we assess the vulnerability of your operations, particularly across Scope 3, and the areas in which you operate. We then help you develop credible pathways to reduce carbon emissions and biodiversity impacts, adapt to climate change, and contribute to ecosystem resilience.

Our support services:
From reducing impacts to delivering projects on the ground

We help risk management, procurement, research and innovation, operations and CSR teams in large companies and SMEs, as well as local authorities and institutional stakeholders, to assess their vulnerability to climate and biodiversity challenges. We then work with them to develop and implement practical solutions for resilience and adaptation.

Our approach combines a deep understanding of local contexts with experience in sectors such as palm oil, soy, timber and minerals, and recognised expertise in stakeholder engagement and training.

We also draw on the Ecocert Group’s verification expertise to ensure your initiatives are auditable.

  • Assessing vulnerabilities and modelling impacts Identify and prioritise climate and biodiversity dependencies and vulnerabilities across supply chains, procurement portfolios or regions. Develop climate scenarios to anticipate their potential impact on operations.
  • Reducing Scope 3 emissions Design and implement auditable action plans tailored to specific supply chains and geographical areas, to reduce carbon emissions and impacts on biodiversity, drawing on frameworks such as SBTi and SBTN.
  • Building resilience and adapting to climate change Implement resilience and adaptation strategies for specific supply chains or regions. Track progress and train key stakeholders, including elected officials, leadership teams, employees and partners.
  • Carbon and biodiversity programmes Design, manage and evaluate programmes focused on nature-based solutions, reforestation and carbon sequestration. Measure and verify their economic, environmental and social impacts.
