Assessing the risks and impacts associated with glycerine sourcing

Found in more than one in two cosmetic products, glycerine is derived from several upstream raw materials. On behalf of FEBEA, Transitions analysed five of these in terms of their environmental and social implications.

The study examined the glycerine and biodiesel markets, using a dedicated risk analysis methodology and drawing on consultations with experts, suppliers and manufacturers across the sector.
